Lads,

Good job on Sunday, a good few positives but also a number of things we need to work on and improve.

I expect a good turn out at training next Sunday as it's our last chance to improve before we go live.

Mothers day is nothing more than a Hallmark holiday anyone missing a practice in my mind should be taken outside and beaten up. I have always arranged a late family dinner for mothers day Laughing Sure the UCD lads have no excuse its game day haha

Lads, great performance on Sunday, that was a nice introduction to big boy football. We had some good performances all round considering for some of you this was your first time in any kind of game situation.

The usual suspects played up to their high standards and many of the rookies hit the ground running which made me very happy. I'd like to give a special mention to Alex who was excellent on both sides of the ball and to Gus who now loves defense Smile

Sadly we lost Ted to an injury so not all good news but that too is part of football. Get well soon Ted. We’ll miss you on the pitch.

The season for us starts on Sunday week. 1st up are the Cowboys. They're a more physical team than the Rhinos and being a game situation you’ll get hit harder. There's a big difference between scrimmage and full contact football so be prepared. You need to be ready for this match physically as well as mentally. You need to maintain focus through out the whole match.

Remember what I said about refs doing equipment checks this season. Make sure you have everything. If you turn up to game day and are missing stuff then you've only yourself to blame and it shows you're not prepared and focused.

Be ready for this season. Show a will to fight, to persevere, to win.

Coach Kal

Lads I WILL be back and I WILL still be there for training and matches. It sucks that I am out for a while but I will still be available to give advice and knowledge to all. I expect that all will keep up intensity and hard hitting now you have all got a taste of the real deal. See you soon helmet Bang Head

Guys,

Make sure you know the offensive playbook for Sunday. I won't be in the huddle showing it to you like I was last Sunday. If the QB calls a play you should know what your job is on that play without having to ask.

Also, all huddles on Sunday will be run on a 40 second play clock. For each play clock infringement the whole offense will do push-ups including me so I won't be happy. Exclamation

This is our last chance to get things right before Craigavon so lets make sure to be as focussed as you should be on gameday.

Coach Rob.

Can`t wait for the training Sunday, just need to get rid of that little cold at the moment. Smile

Don`t know the playbook, besides of what I watched last Sunday.

Hope your knee is getting better, so you don`t have to stay to long on the sideline. Smile
